Keep the bridge open
Invest in Andrea Isita.
Andrea Isita, CEO and Executive Director of YTC Mexico, is the one person YTC pays to run its programs. Eight sites in Mexico connect through her. Without her, they don't.
"Andrea leads with uncommon skill, integrity, and care. YTC’s work in Mexico is stronger because of her steady leadership and deep commitment to its students."— Mark Lennon, Executive Vice President, YTC
How she got here

She came to YTC the way the Alliance's best leaders do — as a U.S. State Department fellow, through the Community Solutions Program with IREX, 2024–25. The same door Eslien Tsuses and Prosper Tornyi walked through. Before that: three refugee-assistance centers and eighty-plus international volunteers at the Poland–Ukraine border; communications across nine international offices; education programs documented in rural Yucatán.

What she runs

Strategy and operations for YTC's international STEM programs across seventeen schools. Thirty-plus staff, fifty teachers and coordinators, twenty active volunteers — with the training, monitoring, evaluation and accountability systems that let a volunteer-powered organization deliver every week.

What she brings in

Fifteen-plus proposals written and six grants secured — more than 45% of YTC's organizational budget — and grant-funded programs above $50,000 managed while the network grew.
