Lagos, Nigeria · Global Alliance
← BackNext →
A program opened the way the Alliance was designed to.
Look at where each piece came from. Three partners, three countries, and the founding club nowhere in the middle.

The kits

Arduino kits, donated by YTC's partner Shining Lords Kids English School — the program that grew from a 2024 virtual session and sent students to Chicago in 2025. A partner equipping the next partner.

The teacher

Eyuel, from YTC's program at Haile Manas Academy. Learned there, taught there, then taught in Lagos. What YTC teaches is not the course — it is the habit of teaching it on.

The class

Fifteen students at Victokev Schools, led by Olumide, a State Department fellow who trained in Chicago and went home. The newest link in the chain, and already a teacher of the next one.

That is the whole design.

The Alliance is not YTC sending programs abroad. It is partners who learned the model equipping and teaching each other — a chain that runs without the founding club in the middle. Nigeria is the clearest case yet of every link being a partner.

What travels, and what stays.

Kits travel. A teacher travels. The curriculum travels. What stays is a classroom that can now teach the next one — capacity, not charity. Fifteen students is a small class. It is also proof.
